The larger one is 5 gallons (tad under 19L), and the smaller one is a 3L model. I find the 3L a bit too small--4L or 1 gallon (US) would be fine for me. If there's no sun, as happened the first night, i heated up some water on the stove and mixed it with cold tap water. I filled the 3L one and partially filled the 5 gallon one (about a third full).

I must admit, longish, hot showers are a guilty pleasure of mine!megan blogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04555646904983619596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1564223084915828070.post-4483283101915845802012-08-03T00:57:33.571-04:002012-08-03T00:57:33.571-04:00I would have no problem heating water on our wood ...I would have no problem heating water on our wood fired cooker, but not enough for a whole bath-full. I can foresee a time when we'll need to conserve rain water; it's becoming a rare commodity.Cro Magnonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06840670227576695352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1564223084915828070.post-10754897421417085782012-08-02T23:49:37.094-04:002012-08-02T23:49:37.094-04:00Ooh, Patti, we were on a well at our last house. I routinely filled one of our two bathtubs with water so we could get by, and was always grateful to have the second tub!megan blogshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04555646904983619596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1564223084915828070.post-66004836510041532102012-08-02T21:45:22.170-04:002012-08-02T21:45:22.170-04:00We are on a spring and have "run out" of...We are on a spring and have "run out" of water due to several parts breaking down. Never fails that it is a weekend and we can't get water or someone out to fix the problem. 2 houses sharing water or "no water" really puts a damper on life. I can empathize with not having hot water for sure....Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02402954723371078086noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1564223084915828070.post-37946247451552286232012-08-02T17:55:02.448-04:002012-08-02T17:55:02.448-04:00we are all a product of a tie when everything is &...we are all a product of a tie when everything is "on tap" xJohn Going Gentlyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14958171262765033946noreply@blogger.com
