RIP, Earl Scruggs

I like bluegrass in small doses. I've played with some old-time music musicians, who are very talented, and we've had a lot of fun. As it is with so many other things, those who are really gifted make it look effortless, although in many cases, it's the 10,000 hours of playing and practice plus the gift that make it seamless. The rest of us play and practice and while we may become proficient, we never rise to that ultimate level.

Mr. Scruggs made it look so easy. As one easily befuddled by strings, i just watch with amazement.
